Negotiations with the Directing Board of Union for Persian Carpet Importers in Europe
In a meeting with the board of directors of the Union for Persian Carpet Importers in Europe, head of INCC talked with the board members, asking about their views concerning the current condition of Persian carpet trade in Europe.
Head of the union, Bahram Tahbaz, started the meeting by introducing the union and the members' activities.
Some of the topics discussed by the participants included the necessity of highlighting the artistic aspects of Persian handmade carpet and its strong points before competitors, the importance of introducing and advertising Persian carpets' competitive features, expressing concerns for the production of carpets in rival countries using Iranian materials and designs, and dissatisfaction with the adverse effect of the country's domestic inflations on the price of carpets abroad.
Kargar expressed hopes that using such viewpoints can lead to a way out of the current situation and foster the production and sales of Persian handmade carpet.
